Yup!! Cover girl!!

No, not Time, Essence, or American Theater, but so very, very thrilled!! The three women of color in Brian Copeland's Best of SF Solo Series at Marin Showcase Theater made the cover of Marin Center's Fall/Winter Magazine! YES!

All one woman shows, written and performed by us! Personal, universal, insightful, revealing. Irma's show and mine are dramadies (drama/ comedy), Marga's comedy. Details of each show.

And then inside the magazine, another surprise!! My show, My Stroke of Luck, rated a feature article !!! With gratitude!

So very excited to bring the show back home. And this time on my home turf of Marin! Confess, jolted by the arrival of the magazine in the mail.

I'd just returned from 7 performances in 11 days in Edmonton, Canada at the Fringe Festival. What a blast! 1500 artists from around the world converged, offering 257 shows of all varieties: drama, solo performance, comedy, fantasy, burlesque, magic, drag, musicals, Ted like talks and a Reality Instagram Show. I had a great venue, great technical support, great audiences, great reception, but balancing self promotion, performing, self care, mingling with other artists and seeing as many shows as possible meant I returned home exhausted with laryngitis, that thankfully waited until the last day to arrive. So, about midway through the 16" stack of mail that awaited me, before I'd even unpacked my last suitcase, found the magazine. Which, exciting as it is, means time to step up my game again with local promotion to fill the house!!

Word of mouth is the most effective promotion. And this introvert can use all the help I can get!
